Description :

Collection of six vintage sandblasted (rusticated) briar tobacco pipes, representing respected English, Italian, and American‑linked makers. This mixed‑brand assortment spans classic shapes, rugged finishes, and 1970s craftsmanship—ideal for collectors of estate pipes or those who appreciate the history of pipe‑making.

  • Jobey Shellmoor Extra (E52) – Rugged sandblasted finish; Jobey originated in England in the 1920s, later produced in the U.S., and finally in Saint‑Claude, France. The brand is no longer in active production, making Shellmoor models increasingly collectible.
  • Oscar Savinelli (Shape 128) – From the famed Milanese maker established in 1876; a straight Billiard with a rusticated finish, crafted from aged Italian briar.
  • Two BBB “Own Make” Pipes – From one of the oldest English pipe trademarks, originally “Blumfeld’s Best Briars,” later “Britain’s Best Briars.” Includes cylindrical and acorn bowl shapes.
  • Two Pipe Lane Ltd “Director” Pipes (320 & 604 EX) – Italian‑made rusticated briar pipes with distinctive bowl profiles and textured finishes.

Era & Style

All six pipes date to the 1970s, showcasing the era’s emphasis on tactile sandblasted surfaces, sturdy briar, and traditional shaping. A handsome, varied grouping for display, restoration, or smoking rotation.
