Description :
A charming tabletop vintage “House of Marbles” wooden bagatelle game board paired with a vibrant assortment of classic glass marbles. The handcrafted board features a smooth wood veneer surface with brass scoring pins (some appear to be a little bent but can easily be fixed) and numbered holes, evoking the nostalgic design of early pinball‑style tabletop games. The accompanying marbles include a mix of transparent, opaque, and swirled patterns—each unique in color and character. Together, they form a delightful display of craftsmanship and play, perfect for collectors or as a decorative conversation piece celebrating timeless recreation. The House of Marbles Bagatelle game is a charming, old‑fashioned tabletop pastime—essentially a miniature version of pinball played with marbles. Here’s how it works: 1. Setup: Place the board on a flat surface and gather your marbles. Each player uses a set number (often 5–10). 2. Launch: Using the spring‑loaded plunger or flicking mechanism at the side, shoot a marble up the board. 3. Aim: The marble travels through a field of brass pins and holes, bouncing unpredictably before settling into a scoring pocket. 4. Scoring: Each hole or marked area corresponds to a point value—higher numbers are harder to reach. Players record their scores after each shot. 5. Winning: After all marbles are played, the player with the highest total score wins. It’s a blend of skill and chance, rewarding gentle precision and a bit of luck. The game’s appeal lies in its tactile feel—the smooth roll of glass marbles on polished wood—and its nostalgic simplicity.
